Redevelopment Program Manager, Phoenix, Ariz. — The city of Phoenix is seeking a redevelopment program manager. The manger reports to the deputy director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and implementing programs and projects in the Downtown Development Office. Projects include commercial, office, industrial, mixed-use, urban residential, support retail, academic, transit-oriented development, research, and public facilities/infrastructure.
Job duties generally include lead responsibility for managing economic development programs, planning and implementing redevelopment area plans, negotiating development/lease agreements, analysis and development of project financing plans, managing development of capital construction projects, oral and written presentations to senior management and elected officials, business and community outreach, and supervision of junior level staff. Maricopa County residency is required within 24 months after the date of hire and must be maintained.

Economic Analyst, Denver, Colo. — The Denver Regional Council of Governments is seeking an economic analyst. This is an unparalleled opportunity to participate in leading-edge regional economic analysis and modeling at the Denver Regional Council of Governments, in the heart of the Rocky Mountain Region, working with an interdisciplinary team to implement an UrbanSIM-based, disaggregate socioeconomic forecasting model, as part of a project to completely update the region's modeling system. Research Manager, Carson City, Nev. — The Nevada Commission on Economic Development is seeking a research manager. The successful applicant will report to the executive director of the commission and will be responsible for providing direction and oversight of programs in econometric modeling, impact modeling, policy analysis and general research.
Responsibilities include the ability to understand and work from statutes and regulations, extensive work with a variety of econometric modeling programs, including REMI, IMPLAN-based derivatives and other PC-based informational programs. Some work on Web site postings and maintenance will be needed. Travel (mostly in state but some out of state) will be required to perform the duties.
