During the inauguration of its new branch office in Singapore, Sajeev Jesudas, chief operating officer of UL, said, the Singapore office will play an important role in servicing customers in the region.
“With a larger presence, UL Singapore will be able to support certification needs of medical and high-tech customers in Singapore and neighboring countries,” he said.
Kenneth Tan, director of the services cluster for the Singapore Economic Development Board, said UL’s presence will enhance Singapore’s reputation of reliability.
“The provision of UL’s services to the region adds to the ecosystem of similar companies already present here,” he said. “It is a welcome boost to our aspiration to be a leading testing and certification hub in Asia. I am certain that UL will be able to leverage on Singapore’s excellent infrastructure, logistics connectivity and manufacturing base to better serve its customers in this region.”
