United Alloy in Janesville, Wis., will receive a $50,580 Customized Labor Training (CLT) grant award for a project that will train seven current and 17 new employees on new metal fabrication technologies. Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton made the announcement on behalf of the Governor at a news conference today at United Alloy.
United Alloy, Inc. specializes in producing fabricated metal parts and components for a variety of national companies.
Administered by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, the CLT program is designed to assist companies who want to invest in new technologies or manufacturing processes by providing a grant of up to 50 percent of the cost of training employees on those new technologies. The program helps Wisconsin manufacturers maintain a work force that is on the cutting edge of technological innovation.
