Libla Industries Expands Manufacturing Facility in Missouri

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (May 30, 2006) — The Missouri Department of Economic Development approved a $500,000 industrial infrastructure grant to the city of Poplar Bluff for construction of a rail spur in the Poplar Bluff Industrial Park.

The state of Missouri recently announced that a comprehensive state incentives package had lead to the Libla Industries, Inc. plan to invest more than $1.45 million and create more than 50 new full-time jobs as it expands its local manufacturing operation.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development approved a $500,000 industrial infrastructure grant through the Community Development Block Grant program to the city of Poplar Bluff for construction of a rail spur in the Poplar Bluff Industrial Park. This infrastructure improvement will not only aid Libla Industries, Inc. but all of the businesses in the industrial development.

Libla Industries, Inc. is a privately held company headquartered in Poplar Bluff. This company is one of the largest domestic nail manufacturers in the United States.

Funds will be released to Poplar Bluff as certain requirements set forth by the program are met. The CDBG program provides economic development grants and loan funds to cities with a population under 50,000 and counties under 200,000 to assist in the location, expansion or retention of a business.
