Samsung Electronics will spend more than $20 million to expand its operations here. R. Zutshi, deputy managing director for Samsung India, said after the launch of a new range of cameras and MP3 players, the company has invested more than $150 million in its operations so far. The company expects to grow 20 percent this year compared with 30 percent last year. The lower growth was because of the consolidation of various businesses. Zutshi said one of the key drivers of growth would be its digital media business.

Samsung India has also launched an MP3 player with a built-in digital camera. The MP3 player consists of a camera, MPEG-4 playback/photo viewer with 20 hours playback and an FM radio. Samsung has also launched a digital still camera with a built-in 15X zoom and a 3.5-inch TFT LCD panel.
