Eliet, a Belgium-based producer of high-end residential and commercial grade lawn equipment, with a widespread presence in the European market, has chosen a west Pittsburgh location near McKees Rocks, to launch Eliet USA, Inc., its first entry into the U.S. market and its North American headquarters.
“Pittsburgh is an ideal location for our American expansion because of its close access to several major U.S. markets, inexpensive operating costs and low cost-of-living,” said Jean-Alain Tibbaut, president and CEO of Eliet USA.
Eliet USA is currently co-located within W.J. Beitler Co. & Beitler Trucking Inc., a Pittsburgh based third-party logistics service provider specializing in warehousing and distribution.
The Pittsburgh Regional Alliance (PRA), an affiliate of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, assisted Eliet USA with comprehensive market data, professional services information and the coordination of regional contacts.
Some of Eliet USA Inc.’s most innovative products are self-propelled lawn blowers and chipper/ shredders that make the traditional labor-intensive aspects of landscaping an outdated process. Self propelled lawn blowers and shredders come in a variety of models, sizes and prices.
