Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) recently announced its decision to remain in Leigh County, Pa., in part due to a $2 million incentive package offered by the state of Pennsylvania. The package will enable D&B to move into a new, 180,000 square foot office building at the Stabler Corporate Center in Center Valley.

“D&B’s commitment to stay in Pennsylvania is a testament to our economic development initiatives that continue to transform Pennsylvania’s business climate to one that fosters growth, attracts new business investment and brings jobs to the commonwealth,” according to Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell. “New Jersey was anxious to have D&B cross the border, but our aggressive efforts kept the company right here.

The $2 million investment created by the Governor’s Action Team for D&B includes a $1 million Opportunity Grant and $1 million in Customized Job Training funds. The company will be eligible for additional state funding if it further expands its presence in Lehigh County.

The developer of the facility in which D&B plans to relocate, Rosewood Real Estate Enterprises, will incur construction and land acquisition costs of approximately $30 million based on a 10-year lease agreement with D&B.

“D&B is delighted that construction efforts are kicking-off on our new 180,000-square-foot operating facility in Upper Saucon Township,” said D&B U.S. President Michael Pepe. “By maintaining our presence in the Lehigh Valley area, we are minimizing disruption for our operations, customers and employees, while making continued contributions to the local economy as one of the area’s largest employers.”

The Governor’s Action Team is comprised of economic-development professionals who report directly to Governor Rendell. The team serves as a single point of contact for businesses that are interested in locating or expanding in Pennsylvania.

D&B, with a commercial database contains more than 100 million business records, is the world’s leading source of business information and has operated for the last 165 years.
