Jones Lang LaSalle , a global real estate services and money management firm, recently announced its decision to locate its national client call center operations in downtown Pittsburgh after considering multiple U.S. cities. The decision means the company will add at least 88 jobs to the downtown market within three years and anticipates adding up to 150 jobs over the next five years.

Jones Lang LaSalle has signed a long-term lease at 3 Mellon Center, 525 William Penn Place, expanding its existing office by an additional 23,000 square feet of space. The firm’s current work force in Pittsburgh includes more than 70 professionals who perform property management, office leasing, and other real estate services for corporate and institutional clients. Jones Lang LaSalle also operates another centralized national service business, lease administration, in its Pittsburgh office.

“Our lease administration business has been adding 10 to 15 additional employees per year, and that experience has taught us that Pittsburgh is a great place to grow a business,” said J.C. Pelusi, Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Pittsburgh office. “This region has a lot to offer: a high quality workforce, a central location, and strong public-sector investments in business development at the state and local level.”

Working in concert with the Governor’s Action Team, the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance assisted Jones Lang LaSalle with various components of the expansion, including meeting with key personnel to showcase the many amenities that the region offers.
