Tennessee’s $310,406 FastTrack Infrastructure Development Grant to Support Expansion of United Wheel Industries

VONORE, Tenn. (April 7, 2006) — The Monroe County grant will be used to assist United Wheel Industries, Inc. with site, water, road and sewer improvements at their facility in Vonore.

Tennessee recently announced the approval of a $310,406 FastTrack Infrastructure Development Program (FIDP) grant for Monroe County to assist in infrastructure improvements for United Wheel Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of allow/steel wheels and components.

The Monroe County grant will be used to assist United Wheel Industries, Inc. with site, water, road and sewer improvements at their facility in Vonore. Funding for the $3,102,183 project will include $2,737,000 in company funds and $54,777 in local funds. The project will provide 30 new jobs for Monroe County.

The grant was approved by the ECD Loan & Grant Committee.
