$750,000 FastTrack Grant to Support Infrastructure Improvements to Support Tennessee Company

The state of Tennessee recently announced the approval of a $750,000 FastTrack Infrastructure Development Program (FIDP) grant for the City of Franklin. The funding will assist in infrastructure improvements for Community Health Systems, a hospital health care facility.

The grant to the City of Franklin will be used to assist Community Health Systems with storm drainage and road improvements at their facility in Franklin. Funding for the $32,798,314 project will include $32,048,314 in company funds. The project will provide 168 new jobs for Williamson County.

The FastTrack Infrastructure Development Program (FIDP), formerly the Tennessee Industrial Infrastructure Program, or TIIPs, was authorized by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1988. The program is administered by ECD. FIDP funds are used for infrastructure improvements, job specific work force training or other economic development projects for Tennessee industry.

The grant was approved by the ECD Loan & Grant Committee.
