Tennessee Approves $387,265 Grant to Support Expansion of Edwards & Associates

The Tennessee Economic and Community Development department recently announced the approval of a $387,265 FastTrack Infrastructure Development Program (FIDP) grant for Sullivan County to assist in infrastructure improvements for Edwards & Associates, Inc., a helicopter dealer.

The Sullivan County grant will be used to assist Edwards & Associates, Inc. with a fire protection booster pump, water line extension, storage pond/liner and access road at their facility in Piney Flats. Funding for the $8,530,500 project will include $8,064,456 in company funds and $78,779 in local funds. The project will provide 65 new jobs for Sullivan County.

The FastTrack Infrastructure Development Program (FIDP), formerly the Tennessee Industrial Infrastructure Program, or TIIPs, was authorized by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1988. The program is administered by ECD. FIDP funds are used for infrastructure improvements, job specific workforce training or other economic development projects for Tennessee industry.
