Nationwide Precision Products Corp., one of 10 companies owned by Precision Partners, a world-class manufacturer of machined and fabricated components, is investing $1.4 million to purchase new machinery that will enable it to produce truck transmissions for Caterpillar Inc. The work, which will be performed at Nationwide Precision’s existing facility in Henrietta, will lead to the creation of 50 new manufacturing jobs in Monroe County.

“I feel a great sense of pride in knowing that Nationwide Precision Products is manufacturing transmissions for a world-renown company like Caterpillar,” said Jeff Nuccitelli, Executive Vice President of Nationwide Precision Products. “This project could have easily gone to Michigan, but based upon our skilled work force, suitable facility, keeping jobs local and the incentives provided by New York State, the decision to expand here was made much easier.”

Nationwide Precision Products specializes in precision CNC machining of complex and semi-complex castings and components, primarily for the automotive and Heavy Duty Truck industry. Among the products it manufactures are axles, transmission housings, transfer cases, diesel engine pumps, fuel manifolds, crankcases, cylinder heads, and fuel pumps.

In consideration of its commitment to New York State, Nationwide Precision Products Corp is eligible to apply to Empire State Development for a Capital Grant of up to $150,000 to offset a potion of the cost of new machinery.
