U.S. Medical Firm Expands European Operations From Belgium

HASSELT, Belgium (January 16, 2006) — Medrad Europe, a subsidiary of the U.S.-based medical imaging company Medrad, has expanded its direct operation in Europe by establishing Medrad Belgium, which will provide direct sales, service and customer support in the Belgian and Luxembourg markets.

Medrad sales in Belgium and Luxembourg have grown steadily since it entered the market through a distributor in 1975.

Medrad has direct sales and service in 10 European countries and is represented by distributor operations in 35 European countries.

Used in diagnostic imaging, the company’s products include a comprehensive line of vascular injection systems, magnetic resonance surface coils and patient care products, and equipment services.

“Taking customer satisfaction to the next level means providing our customers with expanded Medrad resources and expertise,” said Peter Cléber, managing director of Medrad Europe B.V., based in the Netherlands. “Our goal is to enable customers to maximize the effectiveness of Medrad products and services, and take full advantage of improvements in scanning technology.”
