Cardinal Health, a leading provider of products and services supporting the health-care industry, announced that it will open a new customer care center in Ratcliff, Ky. The project is expected to create 500 jobs. The 81,900 square-foot facility will be located in Radcliff and is expected to be operational in early 2006.
The new center will provide support services for Cardinal Health's 50,000 customers in the United States, including hospitals, pharmacies and physicians offices. Focused on the high-growth health-care market, Cardinal Health has built the industry's broadest suite of products and services that help improve quality, safety and efficiency all along the chain of care. The company manufactures and distributes pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, offers clinical services to hospitals and develops automation systems that improve the management and delivery of supplies and medication.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) gave Cardinal Health preliminary approval at its meeting today for tax benefits up to $8 million under the Kentucky Jobs Development Act (KJDA), an incentive program aimed at increasing service- and technology-related employment in the state.
