Benteler Automotive to Receive Job Training Grant From Michigan

Benteler Automotive in Auburn Hills will receive a $43,628 Economic Development Job Training grant. The funding, provided by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, will help 53 current employees receive state-of-the-art process improvement training.

Under the terms of the award, Oakland University will be the grant administrator and Benteler will provide a minimum 25 percent funding match.

Benteler Automotive Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Benteler AG, based in Paderborn, Germany. The Tier 1 automotive supplier operates several plants in Michigan manufacturing safety and structural components, chassis products, exhaust systems and tubular products used in engine applications.

Since 1994, more than $260 million in EDJT grants have helped over half a million Michigan workers improve their skills and enhance the competitiveness of their employers.
