Denyo Manufacturing Corp. will expand its Danville operations, creating 20 new jobs and investing an additional $2.1 million in the commonwealth.

Denyo Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Denyo Co., Ltd., Japan's leading manufacturer and supplier of engine-driven generators, welding machines and air compressors. The company opened its Danville operations in January 1996 and currently employs 75 people.

"Danville is an excellent choice for Denyo Manufacturing to expand and grow our business. It simply has all of the necessary ingredients that I and the rest of the Board of Directors considered when we decided to expand here in Kentucky," said Joey Harris, Plant Manager and Director of Denyo Manufacturing Corp.

The company will increase its existing Danville facility, located at 1450 Minor Road, by 41,600 square feet to accommodate its growth. 2005 marks the company's 10th year of doing business in Danville.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved Denyo Manufacturing for tax benefits up to $500,000 under the Kentucky Industrial Development Act (KIDA), an incentive program designed to increase employment in the commonwealth.
