Solana, an award-winning 900-acre master-planned development, has been selected as the site for the new corporate headquarters of Walco International, Inc., a pharmaceutical distribution firm specializing in animal health products and services. Mike Silliman of Maguire Partners, the developer of Solana, was responsible for the lease along with Chris Wright and Ben Sumner of Stream Realty Partners, who handled the negotiation on behalf of Walco International.
“We are excited to have a leading company such as Walco International join us at Solana,” said Tom Allen, partner of Maguire Partners. “They are a perfect addition to our Fortune 500 tenant portfolio and we look forward to facilitating their growth for years to come.”
The 42,000 square-foot headquarters, located in the Solana Village Center at 7 Village Circle in Westlake, Texas, will house up to 180 employees. The company plans to relocate from Grapevine, Texas, beginning June 1, 2005.
“Our company has experienced tremendous growth,” said Mark Gray, vice president of operations at Walco International. “We conducted extensive research and found that Solana was closer to the majority of our workforce. The location, combined with the amenities and natural environment, sold us.”
