The Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance worked with the Indiana Department of Commerce, the city of Fort Wayne’s Department of Economic Development and others to secure the project.
Olde York has requested tax credits from the state through the Commerce Department’s Economic Development for a Growing Economy and Hoosier Business Investment Tax Credit programs. Those credits may total nearly $1.8 million against state tax obligations during the next nine years.
In addition, the Commerce Department has offered $85,000 in worker training assistance through its Skills Enhancement Fund.
The city of Fort Wayne will consider real and personal property tax abatements totaling about $118,000 during the next 10 years, and offered a $65,000 grant for facility upgrades.
Two other companies are establishing their headquarters in Indiana.
Accurate Manufactured Products Group has relocated from New York to Indianapolis and expects to create 50 jobs during the next several years.
The state has offered a $295,000 incentive package to the company, which plans to invest $710,000 in a 20,000 square foot distribution, manufacturing and headquarters operation.
The Commerce Department offered a variety of economic incentives, including $20,000 in Skills Enhancement Fund grants, $50,000 in Technology Enhancement Certification for Hoosiers Fund, and $225,000 in Economic Development for a Growing Economy tax credits.
Also in Indianapolis, Hat World Corp., a manufacturer of athletic headwear, will invest $5.5 million in an existing 200,000 square foot facility, which will house the company’s headquarters, embroidery and logistics operations.
Hat World, which already employs 205 workers, expects to create 119 jobs during the next five years.
The Commerce Department is offering $120,000 in training grants through the Skills Enhancement Fund, up to $50,000 from the Technology Enhancement Certification for Hoosiers Fund, $875,000 in Economic Development for a Growing Economy tax credits, and additional assistance through the Hoosier Business Investment Tax Credit program.
In addition, the city of Indianapolis has awarded a 10-year personal property tax abatement and a 10-year real property tax abatement valued at nearly $105,000.
