Things Are Looking Up
According to a Dun & Bradstreet survey, manufacturing company executives are
predicting continued growth through September of this year.
D&B's manufacturing survey is summarized by three composite Industrial Sentiment
Indexes (ISIs), each of which is made up of five component indexes: production (up
3 points), new orders (up 7 points), unfilled orders (up 5 points), exports (up 3
points) and unfinished goods inventories (up slightly).
The overall Industrial Sentiment Index, covering July, August, and September,
rose three points to 21. The results for the coming 12 months are available from
Dun & Bradstreet upon request.
