1. UPS Announces $1 Billion Expansion of its Louisville, Kentucky Facility
The expansion is expected to create more than 5,000 additional jobs and will increase UPS Worldport's footprint by 1.1 million square feet, to 5.1 million square feet, the equivalent of more than 113 football fields.

2. Whirlpool to Expand Two of its Manufacturing Facilities in Ohio
The company plans to invest over $53 million in new machinery and equipment, and is expected to create over 1,100 jobs, split evenly between the Clyde and Marion operations.

One of the 200,000 square-foot centers will be constructed at HP's campus in Alpharetta, and the second will locate in an existing building in Suwanee.

This new facility will consolidate all components of the Viking service division, as well as free up office space at the Viking refrigeration plant for 14 refrigeration engineers who will relocate from Memphis, Tenn.
